Why Choose Us for Your Kitchen or Bathroom Remodel

True Craftsmanship Built to Last

We care about the details, what you see and what you don't. From framing to finish work, every part of your project matters to us. It's not done until it's done right.

Dependable Service and Communication

We answer our phone, show up when we say, and keep our word. If plans change, you hear it from us first.

A Realistic Timeline, Up Front

Before work starts, you get a time range from a best case to a longer case, based on the hours your project needs. If anything changes, you hear it from us right away.

Honest Estimates and a Fixed Price

We give complete quotes with clear expectations, and on a remodel the price in your contract is fixed. If anything needs to change along the way, you approve it in writing first. On remodels that start with a Design Agreement, if we finish late, you get 20% of your contract price back.

Custom Design and Guided Selections

We take time to understand how you use the space, plan it with you, and guide you through every material and finish choice so you can decide with confidence.

One Point of Contact, Start to Finish

We manage the whole project, so you're not chasing down subcontractors or updates yourself. We protect your home and clean up every day.

How the guarantee works

Every remodel that starts with a Design Agreement comes with our On-Time, On-Budget Guarantee. It's written into your signed remodel contract.

Your price is fixed. For the work in your plan, you pay the price in your contract.
Your finish date is in writing. Your contract has a guaranteed finish date.
If we're late, you get 20% back. If the work isn't substantially complete by that date, you get 20% of your contract price back. It comes off your final payment first, and anything left over is refunded to you within 30 days.
What moves the date: severe weather, supplier or shipping delays on materials ordered on time, and waits for inspections or utility companies. The date moves day for day, and we tell you in writing each time.
What ends the guarantee: a signed change order, or a pause you cause. A pause is when work has to stop because you asked us to stop, or because access to the home, materials you're supplying, selections, decisions or payments weren't ready when the work needed them. You still get the new price or an updated schedule in writing before work starts again. If your contract ends early, the guarantee ends with it.
Small surprises don't end it. Small hidden problems found once walls or floors are open are covered by the contingency allowance in your contract.

"Substantially complete" means the work is done and you can use the space. Small punch-list items don't count.

For Design Agreements signed on or after October 27, 2026. Full wording is in our Terms of Service. If this page and your contract differ, your contract controls.

Serving Cortez, Dolores, and Mancos in Montezuma County

We are based in Cortez and work across Montezuma County, including Dolores and Mancos, on homes in town and out on the county roads. Many homes here are older, and older homes are more likely to have outdated plumbing or hidden damage that shows up once the walls are open. When we find something, we show you, explain it, and price the fix in writing before the work goes on. Some special-order materials come from Durango, about an hour away, and our schedules plan for that.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get Answers to Your Questions

How much does a bathroom or kitchen remodel cost in Cortez?

It depends on the size of the room, how much gets torn out, the finishes you pick, and what turns up behind the walls of an older home. For a starting point, our online cost calculators give you a price range for a bathroom, kitchen, or other remodel in a few minutes. Your accurate price comes after we see the space and settle the plan with you, and on a remodel that price is fixed in your contract.

Do you help with design and choosing materials?

Yes. We help you plan the layout, picture the finished space, and choose materials and finishes that fit your needs and budget. On a larger remodel, design and planning is its own first step, with a design fee that is credited toward the build. If you already have a design, we're glad to work from it after we look it over to make sure it can be built the way it's drawn.

How long will my kitchen or bathroom remodel take?

It depends on the size of the job and what turns up once the walls are open. Before work starts, we give you a time range based on the hours your project needs, from a best case to a longer case. Rural logistics in Montezuma County can stretch a schedule, so we keep you updated as the work moves along and tell you right away if anything changes.

Can I stay in my home during the remodel?

When possible, we work in a way that lets you stay in your home. For bathroom remodels and lighter updates, most clients stay put. For larger kitchen remodels, some choose to stay somewhere else for a while. Staying home can slow things down and add labor cost, since we work around your daily routine and protect more of the house.

How soon can you start my project?

Start dates depend on our schedule, the size of your project, and how much design and planning it needs. Special-order materials can also affect when work begins. We'll give you a realistic start date during planning, and if anything changes, you'll hear it from us first.

Can I choose my own materials or fixtures?

Yes. It's your home, and the final choices are yours. We do ask to look over any materials you supply before they're installed, to make sure they meet quality standards and won't cause problems with the schedule or the installation cost. We'll also coordinate delivery and installation to keep the project moving.

Who will be working in my home?

Andrew Begley, the owner, runs every job and is your one point of contact from start to finish. The work is done by Andrew or by subcontractors he knows and manages directly. You'll always know who is scheduled to be at your house, and who to call with questions, updates, or concerns.

What makes you different from other contractors?

Kitchens and bathrooms are our focus, and we take the same care with every other room we remodel. We're organized, communicative, and detail-focused, with a process built for clarity, quality, and a smooth client experience. We also work with trusted specialists to ensure every part of the job is done right.
